AMHERST, N.Y. – Kristen Luppino-Gholston, who has more than 15 years of experience in the Buffalo Niagara region’s nonprofit sector, has been named director of ̨ÍåSwag College’s Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability and Civic Engagement. Her appointment is effective July 9.

11:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Outside YSC Student Center - Side Lawn: Families: Join us under the Tent next to Yurtchuk Student Center (Side Lawn) to check-in and get helpful information!
11:30 AM to 1:30 PM - YSC Dining Hall: Enjoy a lunch at the YSC Dining Hall with your student. After lunch, use this time for students to get settled, visit offices, relax, and check out campus before sessions begin!
1:30 PM to 2:15 PM - Lumsden Gym: Let's kick off orientation with a ̨ÍåSwag Welcome in the Lumsden Gymnasium. Families and students will learn more about what it means to be part of the ̨ÍåSwag community and about life on campus. Dr. Kerry Spicer, Vice President for Student Affairs will lead this session.
1:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Various Locations: We invite all parents and guardians of first-year ̨ÍåSwag students to join us for Family Orientation on September 4, 2026, to learn about campus resources and how to support your student's journey. Come connect with our community, get your questions answered, and partner with us for a successful first year!
